Crofting

Crofting is a system of land ownership unique to certain areas of Scotland.  We can act on your behalf in relation to a croft purchase or sale as well as assist in marketing your property.

You may also need to make an application to the Crofter’s Commission for a matter such as “decrofting”, letting of a tenancy for crofted land or sub-letting. 

Unfortunately from time to time you may be involved in a dispute involving crofted land.  If this cannot be resolved by agreement then an application may be required to be made to the Scottish Land Court e.g. applications to remove a Crofter, for a fair rent to be set, or for boundary disputes to be settled.
