Property Title Transfers

You may wish to transfer the legal title of a property that you own into somebody else’s name.  You could be gifting a plot of land that you own for your children to build on, transferring title of a property that you hold solely to be held jointly with your long-standing partner.  You may be transferring from joint names to one when a relationship has come to an end through divorce or separation.

Such transfers generally can be a complex process involving a similar amount of "conveyancing" work to that of a sale or purchase of a property.  The transfer of title must be done correctly and registered in the Land Register of Scotland to ensure you are transferring an unchallengeable title.

Please call us to discuss your requirements and we would be happy to provide you with any further information that you require and a competitive quote in writing.
